Remote Moderated Qualitative Study

Validating usability and design decisions for the WAVE 25 rocking bioreactor platform through structured qualitative research across global regions.

Study Overview

Questionnaire after the usability testing

Business Goal

Incorporate support for the rocking bioreactor platform, WAVE 25, the application is intended to be updated. This update was intended to modernize the workflow and ensure the software could handle the specific requirements of new hardware.

Objectives

  • To assess the adequacy of the information presented in the tables through summary and comparison and in the visualizations through the graphs.

  • Evaluate relevance and completeness of operative parameters used for calculations as presented through the design space and simulations.

  • Validate the ease-of-use and intuitiveness for the workflow revisions mandated by characteristics specific to the WAVE 25.

  • Affirm need for the Scaler tool to support WAVE 25.

  • Identify any gaps in the concept and intended implementation.

Analysis

  • After each round of evaluation, prioritized list of hypotheses and evidence were collected.

  • Additional findings and disposition was recorded.

  • Discussed with the team and based on impact vs effort, decisions were prioritised

Hand Over Steps

  • Made relevant changes to user experience and design based on the research findings.

  • Development team to triage and prioritize inputs for implementation.
